STYLE GUARD - TERMS & CONDITIONS

Style Guard is an optional damage protection add-on offered by Style Assembly for $11.95 per hire.

What it covers

Style Guard covers the cost of repair or professional cleaning up to $100 for sudden, accidental damage that occurs while the dress is being worn during your hire period. This includes spills, snags, broken straps, heel damage, and similar unexpected incidents.

What it doesn't cover

Style Guard does not cover:

• Damage caused intentionally, including any attempt to alter, hem, pin, or glue the dress
• Damage from forcing zips, fasteners, or seams on a dress that doesn't fit
• Staining from fake tan, nail polish, or makeup
• Heavy soiling requiring deep cleaning, including vomit, illness-related stains, or extensive mud
• Loss, theft, or failure to return the dress
• Damage from neglect, including leaving the dress in a wet or damp environment, in a car overnight, or mishandling
• Damage from ironing. Style Assembly dresses must only be steamed. Damage caused by ironing is not covered under any circumstances
• Burns from cigarettes, candles, or fire
• Damage beyond repair
• Lost or damaged garment bags, hangers, or accessories

Serious damage

If the dress sustains damage beyond $100 or is damaged beyond repair, the customer is liable for the full cost of repair or replacement up to the dress's retail price. Where Style Guard has been purchased, a $100 contribution applies and the customer is responsible for any amount above that.

Adding Style Guard

Style Guard can be added to your booking at any time up until the day of pickup (in-store) or dispatch (postal). It cannot be added after the dress has been collected or after a postal order has been sent.

Cancellations

If your booking is cancelled before the hire begins, Style Guard is refunded in full.

Damage notification

If something happens to the dress during your hire, please let Style Assembly know as soon as possible. Early notification gives us the best chance of getting the dress assessed, cleaned, or repaired quickly. Whether you have Style Guard or not, we'd rather hear about it upfront than discover it on return.

General

Style Guard is offered by Style Assembly. By purchasing Style Guard, you agree to these terms. Style Assembly reserves the right to assess all damage claims and determine coverage at its discretion in line with these terms. Style Guard is not an insurance product and is not regulated under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984.
